Our scouts staked out the Harbour Fishmonger this Saturday morning from 7 to 10, and returned with a haul. Observed: a gentleman in a sage green ruff with matching whiskers, a young lady in a collar of braided velvet so tight it appeared to be an argument, and a tomcat in a bow tie two sizes too large who clearly had Plans.
The trend of the week was the contrast clasp, a bold brass buckle against a pale silk band. The trend to avoid was the neon bell, which jingled so persistently that the fishmonger threatened to start charging admission. Rating: 8 out of 10 sardines, with one point deducted for the neon.
